  Decent selection of saltwater fish and corals. Huge selection of freshwater fish and plants, I'd be very surprised if you couldn't find what you're looking for here.

  From where it was to where it is now is night and day. Its a busy place especially during rain storms and cold days. The new displays are fantastic and the corals are thriving in their new environment in the salt water section.

  These stores are poorly managed. Many of the employees are knowledgeable but receive no direction from management. The Ottawa West store website is still up even though the store closed 2 months ago. The fish I bought there had some disease that spread to my other fish. Too bad as Ottawa needs a good aquarium store.

  What was once on the brink is now fantastic. Boasting the best display tanks in the city its a fantastic place to go to get the young ones excited about aquatic creatures.

  If you're looking for anything related to fish aquariums, this is the place. It also has a pretty good selection of tanks for reptiles. Huge selection of accessories for fish tanks. If you're looking for anything related to that, they're almost certain to have it. Great selection of various fish and snails as well. I do have to say though, because I think this is also an important part of making for a enjoyable shopping experience, that a couple of the employees were a little cold, but there were also two of them that were extremely friendly. But all in all I would definitely return and recommend this to anybody in the market for fish, fish tanks and accessories.

  Prices are reasonable, but not the cheapest when it comes to equipment. The knowledge of the staff and conveniences generally off-set the cost difference.

  We always love stopping in at Big Al's. The staff is very friendly and have great ideas for fish and aquariums. My kids are always amazed by the bright red shrimps in the front salt water aquarium.
