  My friends and I went to the Big Rig in Gloucester for supper on Friday. It was rather busy, so I will give them some credit for that.

  3. In the instances of one and two, it was not our server offering assistance. Only after everything was resolved did he come by and ask if we had everything, which I understand is just coincidence.

  Food is hit and miss depending on what you order, ask details before ordering or you will likely not get what you are expecting from reading the menu. Asked for some of my meal to take home and a cheesecake to go. One box came to the table very quickly, I assumed it was my left over dinner that I was planning to bring from lunch the next day, but it turned out it was the cheesecake. After waiting, and finally asking, someone went to check where my leftover meal was......I told them not to bother at that point, who knows what I would have gotten! Overall not a good experience. I will not be returning. There are many better places to go in this area and especially for the prices they charge.

  My friend said that the Iris location has always been great, but as this was my first Big Rig experience I will probably not return to either location.

  Very disappointed in my latest experience at this location. We went yesterday with our 1 year old daughter. The restaurant was very quiet. My husband asked for a booth and we were told because we needed a high chair they couldn't do a book (okay no problem) then he asked if we can sit towards the back away from the big group and door and the manager stepped in saying we couldn't and we had to sit in that specific spot. Very disappointed especially since the restaurant was very quiet. Thankfully our server was great but even with that I know we wont be going back here anytime soon.

  2. When we got the food, I asked one waiter for ketchup and vinegar. He must have forgotten as I later saw him walking around. I then had to flag somebody else to ask for this once more.

  1. My friends ordered pizza, and 10 minutes after receiving the pizza (and flagging / asking two people - the first was the hostess, so she seemed not able to do much) did they receive plates to eat / share the pizza.

  Good beer. Food is ok, but expensive and the portions are disgustingly large. I'd go there if I could pay less for a reasonably sized plate.
