My beloved companion of 11 1/2 yrs suddenly took ill. After being diagnosis at his local vet with congessive heart disease, I was referred to a Cardiologist at the Alta Vista Animal Hospital.

You can easily wait 5-6 hours for any sort of poor service and staff are abusive, condescending and sick.

Dr. Bruce and Dr. O’Rhee saved my pugs life and improved the quality of life he has left. I can’t express enough how compassionate, informed, and professional the entire staff is at Alta Vista. It’s great to have an instant feeling of trust when dealing with delicate procedures and the care of your precious pet. Not enough words in the world to truly say how grateful I am for everything they do.

While my boy was there, I called continuously (day & night) to check on how he was doing. The staff at the ICU were always friendly, sympathetic, and fully updated me on his condition.

I no longer have him by my side, but I can rest knowing he was given the very best of care.

This Animal Hospital is the worst. Save yourself money, grief and stress.

We have had to go to this hospital many times over the years, both for specialist appointments and for emergency care. We've had cats require intensive care and multiple surgeries and some presenting with unusual pathologies. The team at Alta Vista is simply outstanding. Their nurses and front-line staff go out of their way to ensure out pets are as comfortable as they can be and try to reduce the stress on them as much as possible. Meanwhile the medical and surgical care is the best available. I can't thank them enough for everything they've done for our pets.

Upon my arrival, he was immediately rushed to the ICU where they attempted to regular his heart. He was kept in ICU for 4 days where they were able to stabilize his heart to the degree that I could take him home.

We brought our cat in who was vomiting frequently, turned out he ate a good size string which curled up in his stomach. The staff took him quickly for x-rays and allow us time to review the results. Prior to surgery, Dr. Low was very clear and helpful in describing the procedure and side effects and was very quick to contact us once the successful surgery was completed. Everyone we dealt with was kind, courteous and helpful in a difficult time and with their help our cat Quincy is at home and doing fine in his recovery but no more strings.

While is prognosis for survival beyond a few days/weeks was poor, the excellent care they gave him allowed me to have a few more precious days at home before his condition escalated, at which time he passed peacefully at home in my arms.

I would never take a healthy animal to this hospital, never mind a sick pet.
